Voorheesville high school senior, Jennifer Gregg, is pictured with her parents, Brian and Cindy, signing her letter of intent to play Division 1 Women’s hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute next year.  In addition to being the 19U Troy Albany Ice Cats goaltender, Jennifer was also selected to the first all-star team as a member of the Guilderland/Mohonasen/Scotia-Glenville/Voorheesville ice hockey high school team.  Jennifer was also selected to attend the USA Hockey Player Development Camp in Minnesota for the last four years.

Message to our Ice Cats Players and Families

The 2016-17 season has just ended and all four of our teams had successful seasons.  Our 19U, 16U and 12U teams made it through Sectionals and advanced to States.

It was especially exciting for our 12U team.  They are very young and were experiencing a State Tournament for the first time.  It was a time of discovery for them as they found out that they were competitive with the other teams at the tournament.

8 seniors are graduating from our 19U team.  They are going to great schools where they will begin a new 4 year journey to get them ready for the world.  The schools they will be attending include RPI, Boston College, UVM, RIT, Cornell, Saint Anselm and SUNY Canton.

I would like to thank all of our coaches for their efforts in making their players and teams better and all of the parents for providing positive support for their daughters.

We are getting ready for a new season and we look forward to improving the program and welcoming new players to our Ice Cats teams.

Thanks,

Richard Scammell
