Team Volunteer Requirements

In accordance with USA Hockey policies, all off-ice hockey volunteers—including team managers, schedulers, and other team volunteers—must complete the following requirements before participating with a team.


Please note: TAHA Volunteer Registration must be completed annually by all volunteers, regardless of previous participation.


Register with USA Hockey

Volunteer registration is free and must be renewed annually.

Complete SafeSport Training

SafeSport training is required for all volunteers and must be completed annually.

Complete a USA Hockey Background Screening

All volunteers must complete a background screening through NCSI, USA Hockey's national screening provider. Background screenings are valid for two seasons and cost $30.

Complete TAHA Volunteer Registration

All volunteers must complete the Troy Albany Hockey Association (TAHA) Volunteer Registration process. This registration is required to gain access to your team page and coaching resources.

Important Note

Volunteers may not participate in team activities until all required registrations, training, and screening requirements have been completed and approved.
