USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION

REQUIRED BEFORE TAKING THE ICE FOR PRACTICE

USA Hockey registration is required for all players and coaches who take the ice. This is effectively your insurance that helps cover medical expenses in the event of a hockey related injury.

USA Hockey Safe Sport Training

REQUIRED BEFORE TAKING THE ICE FOR PRACTICE

Safesport is an online module to help coaches and volunteers become aware of the information necessary to help prevent abuse from occurring in our sport.

AGE-SPECIFIC ONLINE MODULES

REQUIRED BEFORE TAKING THE ICE FOR PRACTICE

In addition to your in-person coaching certification USA Hockey requires that coaches take an online courses for both the specific age of players that you will be coaching and another one covering player safety. You only have to take each module once.

National Level Background Screening

REQUIRED BEFORE TAKING THE ICE FOR PRACTICE

All adult coaches, officials, board members, employees, volunteers, and anyone else who will have regular contact with, or authority over, athletes under the age of 18 are required to submit to a background screen before any such contact with those athletes.

USA HOCKEY COACHING CERTIFICATION (CEP)

REQUIRED BEFORE

DECEMBER 31ST

All coaches and on-ice helpers must have the required certification level by January 1 of the current season.

Find, register and attend the required certification clinic. The Cost is $60. You can only attend one clinic per season and all coaches start at Level 1. You can take clinics from April 1-Dec. 31 each season
